I have made it my life choice to be focused on my health and share my passion with everyone I meet. I was asked the other day “you are already healthy why do you try so hard? ” I remember answering with – “staying healthy each day is a gift I give myself to be the healthiest version of me to honour my cells, my organs, my blood, my mind and most of all my emotional platform to inspire everyone I meet on the importance of looking after your inner temple.
I started Pilates in 2024 and have increased my sessions each week. I don’t always have the energy at 6am to wake up and rush out of the house but it is how I feel during and after the class. I also remind my clients, I don’t like the taste of water but I know it is good for me so I continue to drink it with a straw or in my special water bottle that has it’s own straw attached … I now find heading home to eat is so much easier and healthier than simply stopping at a cafe/restaurant hoping to find what I would like to eat … I no longer cut corners when it comes to my health.
I did, for years thinking that it was okay, and it never was okay just eating for the sake of eating … I now make sure all the food I eat and supplement with adds to my health and doesn’t take anything away from my goal to be the healthiest version of myself.
My digestion loves my health choices and how do I know this … no bloating, no constipation, no reflux, no headaches, no agitation, no irritability.
A reminder to stay healthy, you can make choices that support your physical and mental well-being. These include eating well, exercising, and managing stress.

EATING WELL
- Eat a variety of nutritious foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, lean meat, seafood, eggs, milk, yogurt, and cheese
- Aim to not eat any processed foods, sugar, saturated fat, and salt – eat fruit as these are natural sugars
- Drink enough water to stay hydrated especially first thing in the morning before you have your breakfast.

EXERCISING
- Move more and sit less
- Find activities you enjoy, like walking, jogging, or taking a class
- Work out at home via online platforms

MANAGING STRESS
- Take care of your mental health
- Talk about your feelings
- Get to know how you are feeling throughout the day to maintain mind body balance – go for a walk if you are sitting in a body that is stressed.
