Food rich in Vitamin C
There is one vitamin I have always loved and respected – Vitamin C – a powerful antioxidant that can strengthen your body’s natural defences. I have always been fascinated by this vitamin as it is known as an essential vitamin which means that your body cannot produce it. This has been part of the inspiration. How a vitamin that the body cannot produce supports us to build better health.
Vitamin C is water-soluble and found in many fruits and vegetables – oranges, broccoli, kale, spinach, strawberries, peppers, lemons. Did you know water-soluble means that it needs to be added to your system daily as it doesn’t build in the body?
Eating foods rich in this vitamin is a great way to boost this essential vitamin and many still feel the need to take supplements rich in Vitamin C. I have always combined supplements with a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables and I have benefited from this combination.

Good health is our responsibility, and it begins by how well we are fertilizing our inner core:
GET YOUR NATURAL BOOST FROM ENER-C
  1. It is worthy to note that Vitamin C is essential for everyone to take as it helps encourage the production of white blood cells which assist the body against infection.
  2. Vitamin C helps these white blood cells function more effectively while protecting them from damage by potentially harmful molecule, such as free radicals.
  3. Vitamin C is an essential part of the skin’s defence system. It is actively transported to the skin, where it can as an antioxidant and help strengthen the skin’s barriers.
  4. Vitamin C has also been linked to an increasing in our daily focus by boosting our memory.
I always recommend taking vitamin C in powder form to even further support the absorption of this mineral. Simply adding it to water is my preferred way and I know it will travel to where it needs to be without being held up.

I am often asked what if I take too much Vitamin C?

Ener-C Lemon Lime
I want to reassure everyone that too much dietary Vitamin C is unlikely to be harmful however, might cause:

  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Abdominal cramps

If you are taking more Vitamin C than you normally would be, and you are experiencing any of the listed uncomfortable effects simply reduce the dosage you are taking.

There is no need to completely stop but you may need to reduce the amount you have started taking.

There are so many people working from home, and I encourage each of you to keep building your health and reducing your sugar intake as that will hinder your overall well-being.  I know we all have cravings from time to time, but you can still enjoy the sugar hit by eating a piece of fruit that is high in Vitamin C.
